How We Helped

Boot Campaign’s Health & Wellness program is working to provide individuals care for veterans and military families. In 2016 and 2017, IHF granted a total of $200,000 to the program and in 2018, IHF granted another $50,000 for an element of the pipeline that works to reduce chronic pain, nutrition and insomnia. In 2019, Infinite Hero continued with a grant of $50,000 to support to Boot Campaign’s Health and Wellness pipeline to support a new aspect of care focused on reducing stress and increasing resilience. Boot Campaign’s one-on-one coaching and lifestyle program utilizes empirically validated methods to optimize holistic functioning and the brain-body connection. Experts teach individuals tools and techniques that work to balance cognitive, physical, and emotional function. The methods taught in this intensive, customized coaching can be utilized to healthfully rewire brain-based neural patterns to support brain health and functioning (e.g., decision making, information processing) as well as overall well-being (e.g., sleep, pain, mood).  Boot Campaign’s Heart Rate Variability (HRV} made possible by infinite Hero Foundation has shown tremendous positive impact for veterans and family members. The ability to deliver HRV virtually has been critical to address health and well-being when access to care, already a widespread issue within the veteran population, became more strained due to COVID-19. In an effort to support Boot Campaigns ongoing efforts in this space, IHF granted $75,000 to Boot Campaign in 2020 for expansion of their virtual efforts to provide HRV training to more veterans and family members.
