About Quality of life+

The mission of the Quality of Life Plus (QL+) Program is to foster and generate innovations that
aid and improve the quality of life for those who have served our country. The population served
are service members and veterans with life-limiting injuries or illnesses that can be addressed by
physical solutions to their disabilities. The primary goal of the program is to give these
"Challengers" increased mobility and independence in everyday activities and improve their
ability to participate in recreational activities so important to their physical and mental health. A
secondary goal is to enhance the education of engineering students by providing them an
opportunity to develop innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for our nations patriots
and to better appreciate the sacrifices made by our service members and their families.
