ABOUT The Wisdom Dojo
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT) has the potential to create a vast shift in worldview and, with that, the possibility for powerful and transformative change. These medicines can open a temporary portal – a window showing possibilities for abiding in inner freedom – but optimally, practices like meditation support integration of these changes and help to lock in and sustain them for the rest of your life.
The Wisdom dojo brings meditation experts directly to veterans, helping them integrate and process the experience of psychedelic-assisted therapy into daily life. Our meditation program facilitates a more open and clear understanding of the psychedelic experience, and also provides the ability to close the experiential gap between the normal waking state and the worldview experienced during a medicine journey. Once these simple, functional practices are mastered, veterans are better equipped to be at ease with whatever presents in their mental landscape, their relationships, and their day-to-day experience.
HOW WE HELPED
Current VA treatment protocols have had little impact on suicide rates for struggling Special Forces operators. VETS (Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions) and other groups focus specifically on this community and testing a treatment that can create a vast shift in worldview and the possibility for associated behavior changes – psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT). Research indicates that the real work of integrating the psycho-spiritual insights of PAT begins afterwards.
The Wisdom dojo’s AMP meditation instruction is uniquely suited to support integration of psychedelic-induced insights, as their current results show. The AMP meditation program was developed by veterans for veterans and brings together traditional meditation methods, military high performance instructional instruction, and elite level athletic training program design. To date, AMP has been delivered to fighter pilots, special operators, helicopter pilots, Olympic and other world-class athletes, and elite firefighting and law enforcement units.
AMP dojo heals; it also helps veterans find a renewed sense of purpose and of community by tapping into the trust, camaraderie, and fellowship of the military family that once supported them. Motivated veterans who wish to give back to their brother- and/or sister-in-arms can get certified as instructors after training. As a result of all these factors, program completion rates in the context of PAT and VETS are approximately 95%.
