How We Helped

Worldmaker is leading the nation’s first state-wide resilience-based veteran suicide prevention program in partnership with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services. Through a $50,000 grant, Infinite Hero is proud to partner with Worldmaker as they expand this innovative program into Iowa, supporting veterans, National Guard members, military families, and service providers.

This experiential training utilizes the research-based THRIVE framework, which has been shown to reduce suicide ideation and build the capacity to manage stress, overcome adversity, and thrive. The program is tailored to participants’ unique life experiences. It focuses on key areas such as stress and trauma management, self-awareness and mindfulness, resilience-building, leadership, peer support, and post-traumatic growth.

Participants also receive a Mental Health Fitness App to continue their resilience journey long-term. Infinite Hero’s partnership is supporting the creation of an Iowa THRIVE Steering Committee and providing four workshops in 2025. This initiative will lay the foundation for a “train the trainer” model, ensuring greater program access and sustainability across the state.
