2024 Event Highlights
Kyle’s Story
My name is CPT Kyle Butters, USA, Ret. and I am an Army Veteran.
I, like many of my fellow veterans, have tragically lost fellow soldiers and friends throughout the years to combat and suicide.
These losses have had a major impact on me, and I’ve made it part of my life’s mission to contribute to the mental health fight that so many of us veterans go through.
I really appreciate that two of Infinite Hero’s five pillars focus on veterans mental/brain health and suicide prevention. In 2021, research found that 30,177 active-duty personnel and veterans of post-9/11 conflicts died by suicide.
The bottom line is this must change; I do not feel enough attention is given to the problem. I run knowing that with each step, the money raised will go to support the brain health and suicide prevention programs that are at the heart of the IHF’s mission.
Starting on Friday, June 6th through Sunday, June 8th, 2025,
I am going to be running 22 miles, every 24 hours, for a grand total of 44 miles.
I am doing this in remembrance of my fallen brothers and sisters.

Strength and Honor
De Oppresso Liber
When I think about why I chose a running event, it’s simple, many veterans face physical challenges as a result of injuries they sustained during service and I feel that it is my privilege and obligation to use my physical abilities to support them.
It would be my honor to have you join me.
