Raising Awareness to Meet the Needs of Heroes and Their Families
LAKE FOREST, Calif.—Infinite Hero™ Foundation today announces its launch to honor and empower those who exemplify the highest virtues of courage and heroism.
“Respecting the values of courage and honor means respecting those who uphold those values, the men and women who exemplify the nobler virtues of humanity,” said Infinite Hero Board President, CEO of Oakley, Inc., Colin Baden. “The heroes of today provide aid around the world and defend the freedom and quality of life that all of us enjoy. It is the responsibility of us all to provide aid and supportive services to meet the needs of these heroes and their families. Infinite Hero is dedicated to that purpose.”
The founding partner of Infinite Hero is Oakley, Inc., a company that for decades has been dedicated to supporting the military by developing new technologies that improve safety, performance and comfort for those whose lives depend on their gear.
Infinite Hero carefully examines the issues that our service members and their families face every day and invests in innovative programs that meet their critical needs. The most common needs are housing assistance, specialized medical care and rehabilitative services, career counseling, and morale and recreation opportunities.
The non-profit public benefit foundation has partnered with the Armed Forces Foundation to support its Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder program, which provides outreach initiatives at military installations and military impacted schools across the country. The project will begin by focusing on the more than 1,000 students at Fort Belvoir Elementary School, 97% of which are children of military personnel. Infinite Hero will now seek to increase the number of counselors that support the needs of students who face financial hardships and the volatile environments that can be created by parents who suffer from PTSD. The additional support will help address the issues of school absenteeism and failure, social isolation, family emotional abuse, and depression.
“Infinite Hero Foundation’s initial partnership with the Armed Forces Foundation’s counseling program at Fort Belvoir showcases its commitment to not just the service member but also the military family as a unit,” said Infinite Hero Board Member, Armed Forces Foundation President, Patricia Driscoll. “As we move forward with this partnership, we hope to provide the blueprint for the Infinite Hero Foundation’s support of other initiatives throughout the military support community.”

About The Armed Forces Foundation
The Armed Forces Foundation offers vital assistance to active-duty and retired personnel, National Guard, Reserve Components and military families as they cope with difficult circumstances. When a service member sustains combat injuries overseas, they and their family face a long, difficult road to recovery. Spouses must often quit jobs to care for their partner, children cope with parental absence, and financial situations often deteriorate. The moment a soldier arrives at the hospital, the Armed Forces Foundation steps in to assist the family in traveling to his or her side and provides lodging for them to remain there. The foundation then provides financial assistance, supplementing income while the family waits. Through therapeutic recreational and outreach programs, the AFF helps service members through their physical recovery and provides relief from the mental stress of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Through education and advocacy, we fight for better care and treatment for PTSD. All along the way we provide other opportunities as well, sponsoring military family events and Christmas toy drives. The Armed Forces Foundation lives by the motto “Serving those who serve,” and, recognizing that families serve too, seeks to provide a well-rounded program of assistance and support for the military family unit.
