Kim Mitchell is an advocate for our veterans, military families and Gold Star Families. She speaks at conferences and events across the country. After serving 17 years in the Navy, she co-founded and was the President of Dixon Center for 5 years and a Consultant to the Department of Defense for 3 years assigned to the Department of Defense 50 Year Vietnam War Commemoration Committee. In 2017, she became the first Non-Vietnam Veteran President & CEO of Veterans Village of San Diego where she led a robust team for almost 3 years. Kim has served on numerous boards and committees to include the Kaplan Public Service Foundation, Infinite Hero Foundation, Woody Williams Foundation, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, the Advisory Committee for the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans of America and on the Department of Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee for Homeless Veterans.
