Infinite Hero is proud to be partnering with FORGE by funding $50,000 for the Montana Overwatch Project. Montana’s veteran suicide rate is among the highest in the nation, and the firearms suicide rate is 10% higher than the national average. The goal of the Montana Overwatch Project is transformational norm change to drive significant and sustained reductions in veteran and service member suicide. The Montana Overwatch Project objective is to implement a comprehensive training, capacity-building, and community engagement initiative that capitalizes on the state’s existing institutional, community and leadership networks to build trust and fuel widespread adoption of a proven suicide prevention strategy for veterans and service members. Specifically, we will deliver peer-intervention training and education on evidence-based norms on firearms and suicide.
